We offer a 30 live birth guarantee. We do require a copy of the ARI certificate only as proof that the dam is registered, and to verify no common ancestors closer than grand-parents.
Discounts for mobile breedings to 2 or more sires scheduled for the same day! Drive-by and mobile breeding discounts priced at 10% off for 2-3, 15% for 4-5, 20% for 6-8. We'll talk after that! I only have a few sires! Drive-by need not be same day. These discounts apply only to regular fees, does not apply for our $1000 sale.
All females must have a recent Certificate of Veterinary Examination and must be found to be free of any disease, parasite, or pathogen, including BVDV for visiting dams and crias. Copies of all certificates and test results shall be provided to sire owner prior to scheduled breeding.
Book your breedings to any of our lovely boys, to use any time through 12/31/2010. The drive-by and local mobile fee is just $750, and $1000 for visiting dams. The visiting fee includes 60 days agisting and pregnancy verification via progesterone or Ultrasound exam.
Reserve your dates with just 20% down! The following 30% will be due upon delivery for breeding, and the remaining 50% will be due upon positive Progesterone or Ultrasound at or around 45 days gestation.
If you've been thinking about breeding to any of these boys, reserve your spots now and lock in these crazy low fees! I have a feeling the economy will improve soon, and the sale will be over! And remember there's no limit, but all breedings must be used by the end of 2010.
We do recommend that drive-by breedings be local dams, with transport of no more than one hour, so that re-breed can be conveniently performed if necessary. For dams who live more than one hour away, we do prefer a visiting breeding, as they just don't always take on the first breeding, even if the dam is receptive. Don't risk losing production time to save a little bit of money!
We also offer a limited stay option for $600 total price, to leave your girl with us, let her settle in for a week, then breed. Then we'll spit-test, and make sure she spits off at least twice, seven days apart. After the second spit-off but before 17 days after the last breeding, she can go home. Embryo implantation occurs around 17 days after breeding, so transport before implantation means less risk of slipped pregnancy in early term.
We don't have facilities to quarantine visiting dams at this time so we prefer mobile or drive-by breedings. However if your farm is not within driving distance from our location, we will accomodate up to 5 dams at any time for a 60 day visit providing she and any cria at side have a certificate of veterinary inspection and BVD test.
Pregnancy confirmation by progesterone OR ultrasound, 45 days or more after breeding, is included in fee for visiting dams, after she behavior tests as pregnant consistently for 4 weeks. A prophylactic worming treatment shall be administered by the dam owner one week prior to her arrival at our farm for breeding.

We offer mobile breeding 60 miles one way (120 mi round trip), from sire's location. We are based in Creswell, Oregon and Lakewood, Washington. All pregnancy confirmation is the dam owner's responsibility with mobile or drive-by breeding. We can bring our boys to you at greater distances for additional consideration at 50¢/mile RT for increased fuel expenses (mileage over 120mi) plus $100 per night for lodging when overnight stay is required (over 360 miles RT). In the event that a second breeding is required, dam owner is responsible for additional transportation costs at a rate of 50¢/mile RT, and any lodging.
For mobile breedings, we require the host farm to be clear of any transmissible disease or parasite. Dams must not be underconditioned. It is our experience that underweight dams do not hold pregnancies, and are usually underweight due to a heavy parasite load.
We have the best interest of everyone at heart in this requirement, each farm's financial interest, and of course the health of the alpacas is paramount.
